Aventuras Grudentas

About the Project

Aventuras Grudentas is a platform game developed as part of the third semester of the Digital Games Bachelor's program at Centro Universitário Senac. Inspired by games like Unravel, Chariot, and So Many Me, this project tells the story of Blorges, a young slime who dreams of becoming a great adventurer and defeating Wagner, the Destroyer.

Game Objective

The player must manage the slime's body mass to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and reach the final room to face Wagner, the Destroyer.

Mechanics

The game features various mechanics based on the protagonist's ability to manipulate his sticky mass:

  • Sticky Shot: Shoots part of his mass to attack enemies.
  • Charged Shot: A stronger attack that deals more damage and consumes more mass.
  • Stretch: Allows Blorges to elongate to fit into small spaces.
  • Mass Wall: Climb surfaces covered in slime.
  • Mass Rope: Create ropes to swing and cross great distances.

Setting

The game takes place in the Kingdom of Apanzia, a land protected by a magical barrier. The kingdom is divided into four areas:

  1. The Suburbs - The first stage of the game, featuring medieval houses and busy streets.
  2. The Fields - A rural area full of challenges and hidden enemies.
  3. The Forest - A wild region with dangerous enemies and hidden secrets.
  4. The Temple - The location of the final battle against Wagner, the Destroyer.

Characters

  • Blorges - The protagonist, a young slime determined to become a hero.
  • Wagner, the Destroyer - The current champion warrior of Apanzia.
  • Eledonor - A powerful bird mage who protects the kingdom with his magical barrier.
  • Enemies:
    • Bat - Attacks from above and can be used as a platform.
    • Skeleton - Attacks up close and cannot be stomped.

Game Flow

The game is divided into three stages, followed by a final battle:

  1. Suburbs - Introduction to the world and basic mechanics.
  2. Fields - Introduction to puzzles and more challenging enemies.
  3. Forest - Final test before the confrontation with Wagner.
  4. Temple - Final battle against Wagner, featuring three combat phases.

Artificial Intelligence

  • Bat - Flies back and forth and dives when attacking.
  • Skeleton - Walks towards the player and attacks with its sword.
  • Wagner - Has three combat phases, alternating between slow attacks, shield defense, and fast strikes.
