Weapons, items, and NPCs from Quake 2 ported to Sven Co-op.
Maps are a work in progress that I may or may not finish.
q2jorgarena ends after killing the boss.
The deathmatch maps are unfinished, but I've provided the sources (.map and .jmf for J.A.C.K.)
stadium4q2 is a modified version of stadium4 for testing the NPCs
- Download and put it in svencoop_addons, keeping directories
- Add
map_script quake2/q2to the map.cfg - uuuuuhhhh
- common.as has some settings
- Check sven-quake2.fgd and sven-quake2-items.fgd
- If you want weapon pickups to levitate and spin, use the item_q2weaponname entities, weapon_q2weaponname (should) work like normal
- Edit the text files in scripts\maps\quake2\data\ to your liking
- If you're using the items (item_quad etc), make sure players spawn with weapon_q2inventory (it's a separator to prevent accidental item activation)
- Players should also start with weapon_q2grenades for now (they start with 0 grenades so can't be used until finding ammo_q2grenades or the grenade launcher)
- All effects from "inventory" items can be stacked (increase time on Quad Damage, or Silencer shots)
- !OLD MODELS! contains the models from the previous version, ported from the original, to Garry's Mod, to Goldsrc. The scripts haven't been written with them in mind though.
Plugin TBM, but you can probably just #include "weapons" and call q2weapons::Register();
Ammo items are in items though
