ring adds 10hp while using.
requires 30 karma to wear

Have we talked about how this HP effects 1/3 damage rule or how hp works if it is taken off? I'm simply curious what the point is, can we use multiple rings now, but none of them stack?

Ring of Defense already solves the same niche this ring would be for, but at no karma requirements.

No still one ring. Defence ring is no way similar to an hp ring.

Not sure wat ur first part is asking

Unsure about the merits of the ring, but I will point out that it does work differently than a defense ring. Defense doesn't help against spells; 10 hp does. A ring like this is the only ring form of defense against stuff like illusionary damage, for example, and this ring is the only ring that would help against weapons and spells both

Mechanically I've already played around with HP boosting items, it's simple enough. Your max hp rises by 10 over whatever else it was, if you take off the ring, the max hp drops back down. No issues with any other systems. You don't qualify for factions and shields and so on afair. So you could have 160 hp for example and nothing else is compromised.

The 1/3 damage limit is based on base max health, so this 10 hp would not be counted. You could theoretically have a 30 hp mule that could only take 7 damage a hit, thus surviving 5 hits in the wild.

We should probably upgrade our equipment system with a UI or something, and enable the use of two rings. It's really where all modern games are at (and even old ones like text muds)

I always assume there are surrounding rebalances to any suggestion

I'd actually like to see rings (and gear too) drop with random mods. So a resist fire ring (assuming we can use two) could drop between 5% and 10% base, and then a large pool of other magic attributes also have a chance to spawn on them. I'm not sure I'd go with the prefix/suffix system that Diablo clones go with, but it would certainly be interesting to always have room to find a 'better' ring. (and also room to lose it in pvp). A perfect 10% resist fire ring with the best mods might take years to find. But you could find a 8% or 9% with decent mods without too much grindy farming.
