fix: only play last one effect #794
Conversation
Summary of ChangesHello @xiaoxustudio, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed! This pull request addresses a bug where only the most recent sound effect would play, overriding any previously initiated effects. By introducing unique identifiers for each sound effect playback instance, the system can now correctly manage and play multiple effects simultaneously, ensuring that all intended audio cues are heard. Code Review
This pull request aims to fix an issue where only the last sound effect should be played. However, the current change of assigning a unique ID to each effect without stopping previous ones inadvertently causes the opposite behavior, allowing multiple effects to play simultaneously. This introduces a regression because the mechanism to stop the previous effect is now broken. A more substantial refactor is needed to correctly stop previous one-shot effects while still using unique IDs to prevent other potential race conditions.
