New Bills Added

Virginia HB979: Income Tax Reform (2027)

  • Adds 8% bracket on $600k-$1M, 10% bracket on $1M+
  • Increases standard deductions ($10k single, $15k HOH, $20k joint)
  • Full statewide and district impacts computed
  • Budgetary impact: +$2.94B (progressive tax increase)
  • District impacts range from -$124 (VA-9) to -$2,498 (VA-8)

Rhode Island Governor McKee FY2027 Budget

  • High Earner Tax: 8.99% bracket on income over $648,398
  • Social Security Exemption: Eliminates state tax on SS benefits
  • Listed without impacts (to be added later)

Georgia HB111: Income Tax Rate Cut

  • Reduces flat rate from 5.09% to 4.99% (accelerates 2027 cut)
