Summary of Changes

Hello @tinoue, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces a crucial validation step to the build-databases.sh script. By verifying that the script is run from the repository's root, it prevents potential execution errors and ensures that subsequent operations, such as directory creation, occur in the intended locations, thereby improving the script's reliability and user experience.

Highlights

  • Script Execution Validation: A new validation check has been added to the build-databases.sh script to ensure it is always executed from the root directory of the Git repository.

Code Review

The pull request adds a check to build-databases.sh to ensure it's run from the repository root. This is a good addition to prevent errors from relative paths. My review suggests an improvement to make this check more robust by using git rev-parse --show-toplevel instead of checking for the existence of a .git directory. This handles more edge cases, such as git worktrees, and provides a more informative error message.
