DMX

Out tof the box, Tooloop OS is configured for Enttec USB DMX devices so those should work out of the box.

However, you can always use OLA which can easily be installed with the optional stuff installer.

Ideas

External power switch

Would be nice, if we could design a simple adapter that can be mounted in any PC chassis so it can have an external power switch and indicator LED.

This way, we could install a hardware switch for our customers and have the server startup and shutdown in a caontrolled way. This could be a key switch for access control or an Arduino/Raspberry Pi/Automation System with an attached touch screen to take control of many boxes at once.

  • IO
    • PCI slot with with connector, maybe needs some wiring. Connectors could be DE-9 connector
  • Inside
    • cables from the mainboard to our PCI slot
    • parallel to power switch and power LED
  • Outside
    • Attach any cable, that has 4 wires in it using an RS232 terminal block
    • attach an external powerswitch and an LED to a connected cable
