WilliamNgiam/README.md

Hi there πŸ‘‹

I am Dr William Ngiam, Lecturer in the School of Psychology at Adelaide University. I am a cognitive neuroscientist researching how we represent information in both the mind and brain. My lab is called the Perception, Attention, Learning and Memory Lab or the PALM Lab.

Some of my featured Github projects:

  • OpenWMData: I am creating a hub that collates working memory datasets, tagging the datasets with useful metadata and making them findable for computational reproduction and secondary analyses.
  • orientationModeling: Working with Michael Lee (@mdlee) on modeling the latent representations of orientation stimuli underlying different cognitive tasks using a Bayesian MCMC model.
  • QualCA: An open-source, free-to-use, browser-based app for conducting qualitative analysis (such as thematic analysis). An early work-in-progress.

My goal is to ensure my research is as transparent and reproducible as possible – this means sharing experiment scripts, providing de-identified raw data, and analysis code and outputs. If you want to reach me, you can contact me via email: william.ngiam(at)adelaide.edu.au.
