Hey, Code Rock Star!
Thanks for gracing us with your latest masterpiece. We're excited to see what magic you're about to unleash.

What's Cooking?

I've implemented Self identity verification on the tap page using QR codes. Users can now verify their identity by scanning a QR code with the Self app before being redirected to advertisements. This enhances our age verification and identity validation capabilities while maintaining a smooth user experience.

The implementation follows the same pattern used in our provider registration page for consistency across the application. If verification fails or takes too long, users have the option to skip verification or retry.

Changes Include:

  • New feature (sparkles incoming)
  • Bug fix (bugs squashed like a boss)
  • Documentation update (words that wow)

Screenshots (if applicable):

Self QR code display for identity verification would appear here

Checklist:

  • I double-checked that my code works without any hocus pocus.
  • I updated the docs to keep the legend alive.
  • I added tests to prove my code isn't just smoke and mirrors.

Key technical details:

  • Dynamically imports the Self QR code component to prevent SSR issues
  • Uses proper TypeScript typing with SimpleSelfAppInstance interface
  • Adds a fallback mechanism if verification fails
  • Implements a 5-second countdown before redirecting to the ad URL
  • Uses the existing /api/verify endpoint with the current origin

Let's merge this and watch our app shine!
