This patch optimizes buffered writes by forgoing a single, circular buffer and instead using ordered goroutines to write buffered data.
This patch keeps Read functions from wrapping io.EOF errors in a *net.OpError struct.
This patch cleans up the tests, removing some duplication, and in general making things easier to follow.
