Summary of Changes

Hello @wangfakang, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request enhances the project's documentation by refining the explanations of various slowdown types within DeepXTrace, making them more precise and easier to understand. Additionally, it integrates a new reference to the DeepXTrace Heatmap Visualization Tool, guiding users towards advanced performance analysis capabilities. These changes collectively improve the clarity and utility of the README.md for both new and existing users.

Highlights

  • Documentation Clarity: The descriptions for Comp-Slow, Mixed-Slow, and Comm-Slow scenarios in the README.md have been updated for improved clarity and specificity, detailing sender-side, receiver-side, and communication path issues respectively.
  • Tool Integration: A new section has been added to the README.md that directs users to the DeepXTrace Heatmap Visualization Tool for performance analysis and communication bottleneck visualization.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request updates the README file to provide more detailed and accurate descriptions of the different slowdown scenarios (Comp-Slow, Mixed-Slow, Comm-Slow) and adds a helpful link to the heatmap visualization tool. The changes are a good improvement to the documentation. I've suggested some minor wording adjustments for clarity. Please note that the docstring in src/deepxtrace/diagnose.py still contains the old descriptions for the slowdown scenarios, which now seem to be inconsistent with the updated README. It would be beneficial to update that as well for consistency.
