I noticed a problem with using custom facts using Ruby ($::fs00xx) - values doesn't get updated in my environment:
I still haven't figured out what's causing this. I decided to go with executable external facts instead: https://docs.puppetlabs.com/facter/2.4/custom_facts.html#executable-facts-----unix
This enables the module to use the BASH commands as audit tool and at the same time as generator for the facts, like this one (fact: cis_9_2_12):
