The product designers keep track of discussion around on-going design on Wake. You as engineer, you should try to keep up-to-date with this, so that you can better understand the reasons for decisions in the finalised design. Where necessary, the designer will explicitly @-mention the engineer that ‘owns’ a feature to ensure they are looped in on certain things.
During the Sprint Kick-off meeting there will be high-level overviews given to the team and during the weekly meeting an update will be given on the design of a feature.
Once finalised, a design walkthrough meeting will be held where the designer of the feature and the engineer that ‘owns’ a feature, as well as other engineers that will work on the feature, will go through the design.
The designer produces split-up versions of the design, in the form requested by the engineer that ‘owns’ the feature, which are fully spec’ed. i.e. that includes dimensions, font names, font sizes, etc.
