I propose me, @ubdbra001 and @rwblair as primary authors of the new validator, and other contributors with only a couple commits affecting the regex validator class in alphabetical order.

@olgn, @sappelhoff, @Remi-Gau @DimitriPapadopoulos you are included as authors. Feel free to update your entry or request to be removed.

@MaxvandenBoom @kabilar We didn't have your entries in the JS CITATION.cff. Would you like to be included as authors? You might want to add yourself on the JS repository as well.

The current list was determined by git log. Anybody else who feels they've contributed to the Python validator in some capacity other than code, please let me know.
