Some manual clean-up was necessary, because autoupgrade did not catch all points and did not create a valid *configure.ac*. The main recommendation was to threat `RETSIGTYPE` as `void`.
Gcc complained about undefined functions from time.h.
The directory /usr/libexec is better suited according the FHS.

I'm preparing the integration of conserver into The Yocto Project, and had some issue with building out of tree and cross-compiling.
