WHAT IS ayPlan?
---------------
A cost-optimal (or satisficing) planner that does a forward search in
the state space. This software exists primarily as part of an entry in
IPC-6. Input domains and problems should be in propositional PDDL with
an action-cost exception.

OBTAINING AND INSTALLING ayPlan
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
WHERE CAN I GET ayPlan:
-----------------------
- The system should be available from:
http://csl.anu.edu.au/~charlesg/
ON WHAT SYSTEMS HAS ayPlan BEEN TESTED?
---------------------------------------
- Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon
- Ubuntu 8.04 - the Hardy Heron
WHAT COMPILER MIGHT WORK
--------------------------
- g++ version 4.1.3
- g++ version 4.2.3
The GCC c++ compiler is usually called g++. The binary is installed
at
/usr/local/bin
on most systems. To see what version of the c++ compiler you have,
type:
/usr/local/bin/g++ -v
WHAT SOFTWARE IS REQUIRED?
--------------------------
- C++ TR1 is required.
- C++ boost is also required.
- libcurses is required for some functionality that is disabled by
default.
INSTALLING ayPlan:
------------------
- make clean
- make
Good luck!
IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG:
------------------------
- Try, try again, then quit.
- If you think there is a bug that the authors should fix, let us

GETTING TO KNOW ayPlan
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
- The system compiles, congratulations!
- Where problemFile and domainFile are PDDL problem and domain
descriptions respectively, run ayPlan as follows in the case of
satisficing planning:
./ayPlan --problem problemFile --domain domainFile
- Where N is an admissible upper bound on the cost-optimal plan, if
you want to do cost-optimal planning, use the following:
./ayPlan --max-cost N --problem problemFile --domain domainFile
