System-wide Chechen Latin keyboard layout for macOS.

Installation

1. Download

   • Get the latest Chechen-Keyboard-Installer.dmg from Releases.

2. Open the disk image

   • Double-click the .dmg to mount it.

3. Install the keyboard layout (per-user)

   • In the window that opens, drag Chechen Latin Keyboard into:
     • ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/ (per-user install)

4. Log out & log back in
   • macOS caches input sources; a re-login (or restart) is required.

Activate the layout (macOS System Settings)

1. Open System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Input Sources → Add…
2. Search "Chechen" and add Chechen (Latin, QWERTY, US).

3. To switch layouts, use the menu bar input icon and select Chechen.

4. Optional: show the on-screen keyboard to view characters: Keyboard Viewer.

Uninstall

1. Remove the layout file from:
   • ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/
2. Log out and log back in (or restart).
3. In System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Input Sources, remove Chechen (Latin, QWERTY, US) if it’s still listed.
