Open the disk image
- Double-click the
.dmgto mount it.
- Double-click the

Install the keyboard layout (per-user)
- In the window that opens, drag Chechen Latin Keyboard into:
~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/(per-user install)
- In the window that opens, drag Chechen Latin Keyboard into:
- Log out & log back in
- macOS caches input sources; a re-login (or restart) is required.
- Open System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Input Sources → Add…
- Search "Chechen" and add Chechen (Latin, QWERTY, US).
- To switch layouts, use the menu bar input icon and select Chechen.
- Optional: show the on-screen keyboard to view characters: Keyboard Viewer.
- Remove the layout file from:
~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/
- Log out and log back in (or restart).
- In System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Input Sources, remove Chechen (Latin, QWERTY, US) if it’s still listed.
