@pasthalal I tested this on my local dev site - very very close.

1. you did rename the module correctly
2. you did export field permissions

BUT:
You chose "Private (only author and administrators can edit and view)".

Although 'private' sounds good, read what it means: author can edit and view. Author refers to the person filling out the form. So that means that the person applying can edit and view the application status field. Of course, only administrators should be able to choose whether they're accepted.

This should be a simple update. Please update the permission to 'custom', and give administrator all of the permissions for the field - don't give any permissions to anyone else for that field. Then just update ('recreate') the feature
