The mariadb variant of the python module MySQLdb has various exploits. Adding support for Oracle's MySQL module using connector prevents the exploits. Twistar does have to be updated, and since Twistar is no longer managed and in archive mode on GitHub I forked the package. Twistar in now in the Denyhosts org in order to ensure we can apply updates to twistar if needed.
