Rythm template engine is roughly the same magnitude of Japid in terms of performance, but much easier to integrate with Play. There is no such things like RythmController or rythmviews etc, just follow your convention with play's default groovy template, and switch to an nice Razor like syntax. You can even reuse your FastTags defined in the application without any expense.
