Hi Martin, I found the text corruption issue to be hugely helped with the KGSL Tweaks from CAF and Virtuous kernel. Not sure how this works so here are the commit numbers:

Let me know if you need more info, I just happened onto these while looking at sources and tried them. Hopefully they should help alleviate the problem.
