Description:
Fixes #603

Changes

  • Convert auth_saml_configurations.email_domain to CITEXT
  • Convert peoples.primary_email_address to CITEXT
  • Convert peoples.additional_email_addresses to CITEXT[]

Why

Domain names and email addresses should be case-insensitive per RFC 1035.
This ensures Example.COM and example.com are treated as identical.

Testing

  • Ran migrations locally
  • Verified column types changed to citext
  • Tested case-insensitive queries work

Summary by cubic

Make email domains and addresses case-insensitive by converting related columns to CITEXT. This treats Example.COM and example.com as the same to prevent case-related mismatches.

  • Migration
    • Convert auth_saml_configurations.email_domain to CITEXT
    • Convert peoples.primary_email_address to CITEXT
    • Convert peoples.additional_email_addresses to CITEXT[]

Written for commit 3c10175. Summary will update on new commits.
