Tasks:

  • Login
  • Add an app
  • Delete app
  • Launch app
  • Find an app
  • Tell what visualization does

Conclusion:

  • Did you expect it to do something that it didn't?

  • (grid view)

  • The multiple logos were confusing

  • What would you expect click to do: Either display information about your account on that site, or click through to site.

  • It looks vaguely like Windows tiles

  • It looks like a Home Page, or a Desktop app

  • liked the color scheme

  • wanted to know how the apps would be organized (thought by color, possibly alphabet### ic)

  • liked the organization of the cluster view, the contextual view was most useful to her

  • images loading slowly (internet connection)

  • would want notifications for social media

  • liked playing with the clusters

  • wanted to know if she could upload to FB or Instagram from app

  • thought the plus was to add a person, realized it was to add an app

  • thought the timeline was weird (1970?)

  • thought it mapped frequency/usage, but not sure

  • 'the pretty colors are moving'

  • was a little confused (after explanation) -> really liked the idea of tracking for self control

  • novelty vs. functionality -> functionality

  • user background: uses Internet a lot (mainly tumblring) but doesn't really download Chrome extensions

  • wants prettier title

  • thinks search should work on every page

  • logout button doesn't look like logout### to her

  • at the time apps not clickable, did not understand the use of grid view in that case

  • tried to search but didn't work at the time

  • not obvious to her why we have both grid view and clusters

  • (timeline)

  • didn't think this was something she would use

  • thought the purpose was not that intuitive

  • didn't think to click on the lines

  • focused tabs vs. open/close tabs didn't matter to her

  • didn't like clicking through each app's colored boxes

  • would you use it -> yes if someone suggests it to her

  • things you want to see -> notifications from the apps

  • likes keeping lots of tabs and windows open

  • leaves apps on constantly

  • does have lots of chrome extensions installed

  • really liked it, liked playing around with it

  • thinks it should be opt in to track app

  • not obvious what the category sizes were based on

  • (timelines)

  • not that apparent to click on lines

  • timeline bar was cutoff at the time, so didn't try to use the timeline bar

  • prefers focused tab data, but thinks having both focus and open/close data would be good, suggested by splitting into two boxes

  • would you use it -> yes

  • could see it helping improve productivity

  • suggested keyboard shortcuts for major apps, to add on to the home page idea
