I have not worked on radarr for awhile but if memory serves, this date is used for internal purposes. It evaluates movie dates based on the settings & delays at which point that becomes the "releaseDate" internally so it knows how to properly handle searching/grabs/etc

Not really sure there is a need for it outside of that process.

Not to say it cant be added if Captain decides to, just giving some insight on that field and the fact it is an internal one and since there is multiple dates per movie, to use that one wouldnt really be accurate for any apps/viewing purposes

I need it for Kernel Media Server (My Plex/Jellyfin Go based server). Im integrating with Media Management and need to know the real date. Radarr reports a Movie in_cinema as july 2025 but the year is 2024. releaseDate seems to be the only correct data point.

Any thoughts here? I figure 1 extra field isnt gonna hurt too bad :)
