Previously this would fail with an error similar to
'charmap' codec can't encode character ? in position [number]: character maps to <undefined>This PR also includes #2 for my convenience.
Note that this raises the minimum Sublime Text version to 4 as that's when support for the
.python-versionfile was introduced and we need a python version >= 3.6 for theencodingparameter in subprocess.Popen.
