Welcome to Sprite Club.

Sprite Club is a video game for the NES written entirely in 6502 Assembly. It was made by Lance Cartwright, Giancarlo Massimo, Noah Schell, and Danny Youstra. We decided to write a video game entirely in 6502 assembly for three reasons:

  1. To explore an unusual toolchain and development environment
  2. To learn more about NES architecture
  3. To create a video game that is fun to play

If it's your first night, you have to fight.

You can play the game by opening demo.s with an NES emulator like FCEUX. You can also play it on Giancarlo's itch.io using an online emulator, but playing it locally is definitely a better experience. Control the player with arrow keys according to your emulator keybinds. You can attack by pressing "F" and roll by pressing "D". That's it! If you die, restart and try again.
