Hmmm, I'm not sure it's necessarily better to make it easier for spammers to get addresses. I suppose this probably won't make a lot of difference compared to the original, though. How portable is .MTO? It doesn't show up in groff_man(7) in the first version I pulled up.

The .MTO tag will appear when Asciidoctor sources are converted to Groff. Alternatively, you can use the follwowing:

and numerous contributors.

This is documented in groff_man.7 and widely used, for example, in the procps-ng man pages.

I just tried .MT/.ME on a non-GNU, non-BSD system (AIX 7.1) and the address completely disappears.

OK, I have no experience with such systems... Then let it as is.
