Summary

Creates a new /features page combining FeatureShowcase and an enhanced FAQ with 17 questions organized into 5 categories, providing comprehensive user education about the platform.

Motivation

The Footer had a placeholder "Features" link pointing to #. Users needed a single place to:

  • Understand what StuffLibrary offers
  • Get answers to common questions
  • Learn about the platform's values and approach

3. Updated Footer Navigation

  • Before: 3 columns with many placeholder # links
  • After: 2 focused columns
    • Product: Features & FAQ, About Us
    • Support: Feedback, Contact Us
  • Removed: How It Works, Safety, Our Mission, Success Stories, Community Guidelines, Report Issue (all were # placeholders)

4. Key Messages Reinforced

Non-commercial, civic utility values:

  • "No ads, no data collection, no commercialization of neighborly trust"
  • "This is a civic utility, not a business"
  • "We're exploring sustainable funding models that preserve our values"

Community-first approach:

  • Trust built through experience, not just verification
  • Neighborly communication over platform enforcement
  • Generosity and reciprocity emphasized throughout

Honest, conversational tone:

  • "We don't make money—not yet, anyway"
  • "Sometimes people just forget!"
  • "Accidents happen—approach with understanding"

Live platform status:

  • Removed "Once we launch in your area" language
  • Platform is active and accessible now

Technical Details

  • Added category field to FAQ objects for future grouping/filtering
  • Maintained existing accordion UI (works great on mobile)
  • Preserved visual design (warm cream background, ink blue accents)
  • No new dependencies

Testing
