Run DungeonStomp.exe from the bin directory to try the game (will run under Windows 10 & 11).
Dungeon Stomp is a DirectX 3D dungeon game that uses Direct3D, DirectInput and DirectSound. Dungeon Stomp was started it 2001. The first beta was released in Aug of 2002. It is now 2021 - This is an updated version compiled with a more modern compiler. The game still runs! It also lets you to see, in real time, your dice attack/damage rolls.
It will compile using Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 community edition.
- WSAD to move, E to JUMP
- SPACE to open doors
- Q/Z to cycle weapons/spells
- Left mouse button to attack, right mouse button to move forward
- Press F2 to Load game, F3 to Save game
- Confirm VC++ INCLUDE directory has ..\dx7asdk\include
- Confirm VC++ LIB directory has ..\dx7asdk\lib
To execute a secret command press the / key and the chat will open. Enter one of the following commands:
- -breeyark This will enable the in game debug menus.
- -yyz This will give your player all weapons and spells (RUSH YYZ!).
- -bigmoney This will give you a bunch of gold.
In 2005 Dungeon Stomp was cracked by the group acme gods by DELiGHT. I have included it in the bin directory because it's just awesome! A tiny slice of warez‑scene history preserved for posterity.
