resolves #23

Set up a basic CLI tool using picocli. Will implement the commands after setting up other components like MangoTree and ReplicationManager.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Introduced a new command-line interface (CLI) for managing MangoDB resources, including support for starting replica sets with configuration file validation and help/version options.
  • Chores

    • Updated build configuration to include the Picocli library and set a default maximum heap size for the application.
    • Changed the main application entry point to MangoApp.
  • Refactor

    • Modified internal data structures in memory storage for improved performance (non-thread-safe usage).

Walkthrough

The changes introduce a new command-line interface (CLI) for MangoDB using the Picocli library, which is added as a dependency in the build configuration. The CLI is implemented in a new MangoCLI class, supporting a start command with a replicaset subcommand that validates the existence of a configuration file. The build script is updated to use the new main class and sets JVM arguments. Additionally, an import is removed from MangoApp.java, and the keyDir field in UnsafeMemStore is changed from a ConcurrentHashMap to a HashMap.

Changes

File(s) Change Summary
build.gradle Added Picocli dependency and annotation processor; changed main class to MangoApp; set JVM args.
src/main/java/cli/MangoCLI.java Added new CLI class using Picocli with start and replicaset subcommands and colored ASCII banner.
src/main/java/MangoApp.java Removed unused import for server.CommandProcessor.
src/main/java/storage/mem/UnsafeMemStore.java Changed keyDir field from ConcurrentHashMap to HashMap.

Assessment against linked issues

Objective Addressed Explanation
CLI reads replicaset config from .yaml file (#23)
CLI calls docker-java to start docker containers for mangodb (#23) No code present that interacts with Docker or starts containers.
CLI internally uses MangoClient to connect to docker instances (#23) No code present that uses MangoClient to connect to Docker instances.

Poem

A CLI has hopped into view,
With banners and colors, in Picocli hue!
Start your replicaset, configs in tow,
But Docker and clients must wait for the show.
The MangoDB bunny, with ears held high,
Prepares for more features—oh my, oh my!
