Main changes:

  • trixie uses a different APT source format and uses PGP signatures for repos instead of ASC
  • trixie uses python 3.13
  • offspot-config release required due to sysctl version (changed -p to --system)
  • raspiOS changed its swap mechanism with a rpi-swap package that uses zram+file (we still disable for now)
  • new /etc/issue in raspiOS, changed here as it pollutes tty1
  • new ways arounf radio (wifi, bluetooth) blockage
  • trixie now uses netplan, changed to ifupdown
  • raspiOS relies on cloud-init, we dont

Another important change is that I didn't check armhf. It's indicated in the CHANGELOG. We have no use for this and it's time consuming.

This has been tested via this run, integrated into a beta-feature in imager-service

IP.issue triggers a tty prompt reload everytime there's an IP event
which happens frequently with all our ifaces.
This removes the IP part and improves the default prompt
