This README file contains information on the contents of the
meta-phyverso-evcs layer.

Please see the corresponding sections below for details.

Overview
===================

This meta-layer includes kernel and other necessary tools for setting up
a BSP for the PHYTEC phyVerso-EVCS board.
For using the powerline communication via the onboard Lumissil chips, you 
will need a second meta-layer:

Getting the sources
===================

This meta-layer can be build with the PHYTEC BSP for phyBoard-Lyra

You can download the sources by using the PHYTEC phyLinux tool:

Start the phyLinux tool

./phyLinux init

and select the correct BSP in the list presented by phyLinux. The machine is not important
at this point, it will be modified later. Please refer to the phyboard-lyra documentation for more 
information.

When phyLinux script finished, source the folder:

. ./sources/poky/oe-init-build-env

Then go to the 'source' folder and clone this meta-layer.
When using the Lumissil PLC chips on the phyVerso, also clone the meta-lumissil-greenphy layer. 

Configure the BSP
==================

First, you have to modifiy the /build/conf/local.conf file. You can change the local.conf file according
to your setup or you can start by copiing the sample local conf found in meta-phyverso-evcs/conf/local.conf.sample
to the build/conf directory and renaming it.
Add the new meta-layers to the bblayers.conf file in build/conf.


Start building
==============

Start the build with:

 bitbake phyverso-evcs-image
