@johnarnold what special characters make it fail? Can't you escape them in the connection string? |

@johnarnold we'd love to have some examples of characters that break this so we can add a test and see if this PR is the way to go. thanks! |

Sometimes url password does not work due to special chars (e.g. Azure PaaS generated password)
