VirtualBox-Install

Description

This tutorial walks you through instaling a virtualizer. VirtualBox is a general-purpose full virtualizer for x86 hardware, targeted at server, desktop and embedded use. This a demonstration of the Virtual Box installation on my system. It will host Redhat Linux as well as Ubuntu.

Environments Used

  • Oracle VM VirtualBox 7.0

Operating Systems Used

  • Windows 11 Home (v10.0.22621, Build 2261)

Installation Steps

Step 1: Enable Virtualization on your PC/laptop by going to Task Manager Step 1b: Click on the Performance icon.

Step 2: Go to VirtualBox.org then click on the download button.





Step 3: Choose your Operating System from the list of packages below:





Figure 2.0: ISO file will look something like this. Also note the file's name my vary depending on its version.



Step 4: Once you save the file in Figure 2.0, double click it to begin installation. Below you will see a couple of the Setup screens.

Step 5: Click the Finish button as shown in Figure 4.0 to complete the install. Below in Figure 5.0 is the interface screen where you will find the
