I'll just leave this here in case you're interested in heading down this route. The regexp is going to quickly become unmaintainable without the ability to add tests for it.
I may want to add detection for e.g. Norwegian later, and it'd be good to have some kind of modularity and webpack seems like the natural choice these days. So this is a kind of prerequisite for that.
