Academic laboratory experiments using MATLAB & Simulink for system modeling and control analysis
This repository contains MATLAB programs, Simulink models, calculations, and lab reports developed as part of my first-semester undergraduate engineering coursework.
The work focuses on fundamental concepts of electrical circuits, signals, systems, and control engineering, implemented through MATLAB scripting and Simulink block-diagram simulations.
- Course: Signals & Systems / Control Systems Laboratory
- Level: Undergraduate (First Semester)
- Purpose: To build a strong foundation in mathematical modeling, simulation, and analysis of engineering systems using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Numerical computation and equation solving
- System response analysis
- Plotting and visualization of results
- Script-based experimentation using
.mfiles
- Block-diagram representation of dynamic systems
- Modeling of control and signal-flow systems
- Simulation and visualization of system behavior
- Interpretation of results using scopes and plots
- Open-loop and closed-loop system analysis
- Time-domain response evaluation
- Stability and response behavior
- Comparison between theoretical and simulated outputs
- Basic electrical and system-level modeling
- Validation of analytical calculations using simulation
- Understanding real-world system behavior through models
- MATLAB
- Simulink
- MATLAB Plotting Utilities
- PDF / DOCX for formal lab documentation
Through these laboratory experiments, I developed:
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB and Simulink
- Strong understanding of system modeling and simulation
- Foundational knowledge of control systems
- Ability to validate mathematical models using simulation tools
- Confidence in analyzing and interpreting engineering system behavior
- This repository represents academic coursework and laboratory practice.
- The code and models are written with a focus on learning, clarity, and correctness.
- This is not a production-level control system implementation.
