This change (removing the stdout and stderr redirection altogether) is not ideal. From a visual perspective, it is required to suppress errors/warnings that do not align with the "UI".
The idea is to direct all outputs into the $CmdOutput variable, and this breaks that functionality.
(I'm still looking for an alternative myself, but if you have anything feel free to share...)
