This is an example of how I would start to handle routes. You will probably have to modify it a little to get it to work with AWS but hopefully it gives you an idea.
Your login page was setup correctly, you just had an extra end block in there that was throwing things off.
I wouldn't merge this, unless you really want to. It's just a quick example.
