What Does This Mod Do?

Hoo boy I get this one a lot, and I can never answer it, because it's too damn big. Which is why this wiki exists now! Start at the Home Page and maybe in a few hours you'll have the answer to that question!

How Do I Play Insert-Gamemode-Here

To select a gamemode to use on any standard song, you can check the How To Use page.

To install custom gamemodes, see the How Do I Use Custom Gamemodes section below

When Will Chroma Release Publicly? Or At Least Come Out Of CBT?

There's a few barriers to public release.

First, because of the size of the mod, when it's ready to be reviewed for public release, this takes a long time (because nobody wants to do it...). Second, at the same time 0.13.2 came out and destroyed all the mods, especially this one, I had some personal developments that have kept me from being as active as usual, so this version has been lagging significantly.

Huge thanks to PlasmaPower for contributing the initial update to 0.13.2!

How Do I Select A Gamemode / How Do I Use Technicolour

When selecting your song (ie in the song list), look at the panel on your left - the panel where you turn on modifiers. Click the player settings button on that panel, and scroll down. Chroma and ChromaToggle's options are there.

Why Aren't Gamemodes Under Modifiers?

Because they're not modifiers. They change the entire gamemode. Single Saber isn't a modifier. Neither is Forced Single Saber. Hecc.

How Do I Use Custom Gamemodes

In your UserData/Chroma folder there is a folder called CustomGamemodes. XML files that denote the rules of custom gamemodes should be placed in that folder. They will then appear at the end of the gamemode list in-game, prefixed with an asterisk*.

You can get example custom gamemodes from in your UserData/Chroma/ExampleGamemodes folder. You can also get them from the #sharing-is-caring channel in the Chroma Discord.

It Doesn't Work! / X Doesn't Work!

See the troubleshooting page for, well, troubleshooting.

I Installed ChromaToggle And I Can't Cut Any Blocks! WHAT DO?!

This can be caused by a great many things, from plugin incompatibilities and incorrect installations to broken configuration files.

See the General Fix Checklist in the Troubleshooting Page.

If that fails, then ask for help in the Chroma Discord.

I can't see Nightmare/Insanity/Mayhem/Etc

You need to agree to the safety warning. You can do this in-game. You're going to have to read things though. Sucks to be you, I know. I won't give you any more details on how to do this, because if you can't figure this out, you can't be trusted with your own safety. Also, for the love of god, please warn your friends if you have them come over and play safety-locked features.
