How To Use
Chroma is a big mod, with a lot of options, in varying places. It's not uncommon for people to not know how to even use the damn thing, so I've written up this handy dandy notebook guide!
First and foremost you need to know where Chroma's options are even found. There are three primary locations in-game for configuration and features, and below is an outline of where they are and what they do.
The bulk of options can be found in the settings menu. This is pretty obvious, I know. However, there's a tad more to it.
In the settings menu, you'll find a submenu called Chroma Settings. This contains the most powerful/important settings the Chroma Suite has. Most notably, you'll see an option called "hide sub-menus". This one is important. Chroma alone has several sub-menus, and the amount of sub-menus only increases as you install more expansions (most notably ChromaToggle). Therefore this option is used to hide them, to keep your settings menu nice and small.
Obviously, however, if you want to adjust settings they need to be visible. So if you're not finding any other sub-menus, disable "hide sub-menus" and hit OK, then go back to the settings menu, and they should all be there!
The rest of the Chroma Suite's options are found under Player Settings.
This is a common source of confusion, because the player settings button on the main menu will not work. You need to use the Player Settings Tab on the Modifiers Panel, which can be seen to your left while choosing songs. Once you're in the Player Settings Tab, you can scroll down.
Chroma supplies a couple buttons under the Mods Button, on the bottom of the main menu. Most notably the credits, changelog/announcements, and a button to reload from config.
ChromaToggle adds several settings to various sub-menus in the Settings Menus, as well as the Player Settings Tab.
Under the Player Settings Tab, scroll down with the left column, you'll see the Chroma Gameplay sub-menu. This menu is where you can choose a ChromaToggle Gamemode when playing on any standard map.
