Character Stats

This is somewhat complex and potentially varies from game to game. For now, as of writing, I'll only be covering what goes on in the most recent games.

The following are all possible primary stats across all games:

Base Stats

A character's base stats are given prior to recruitment. For the "avatar" characters, a boon/bane must be specified, from which base stats are calculated.

Actual stats

A character's actual stats come from adding the base stats to the class's base stats. Thus, Rinkah, who's Strength is 8 at level 4 during recruitment, has a base stat of 2 (-6 from the Oni Savage class base). Were she to be reclassed as an Oni Chieftain, with a base stat of 9, her total Strength would be 11 at level 4. In this manner, due to some classes having lower base stats than others, reclassing could potentially lower certain stats.

Stat caps

A character's stat caps are a set of boons/banes similar to the "avatar" character. Classes have their own set of maximum stats, and the sum of these two stats result in a character's potential limit. Rinkah, for example, has a -1 Strength bane, and thus her maximum Strength as an Oni Chieftain is 33, rather than 34.
