Feels like "this DID method" reads better to me. Or maybe, "this specification". The subject is the specification, not an identifier.

Could we specify that it is the BTCR2 DID method? Since the previous paragraph is focused on did:btcr, I'd like to specify that the focus has shifted to BTCR2.

What about one of these?

DID BTCR2 tackles reliance on public DID Documents head-on by introducing private DID documents, in which resolving the DID requires additional information delivered either alongside of or in a separate communication from the DID controller.
Very slight verbiage adjustments to the first sentence; order change for create, update, deactivate, and resolve; removal of unnecessary capitals on DID Document.
