I checked out this change locally for testing and review for merge
This is an Emergency PR to fix the #81 issue where it causes multiple issues in Windows and git.
Please review and I'll merge this first.
Approving this PR for merge as it correctly implemented and no longer breaks git, Windows and CI run.
